Hey sis, I'm glad you here!

I'm the Money Mindset and Financial Fitness Coach for childfree by choice (CFBC) women who desire a life they love living...and can comfortable afford well through retirement.

First things first. I have seen it all. Trust me. I have worked with women from all walks of life and backgrounds. I promise to meet you exactly where you are in your fiscal journey. #judgementfreezone

As a fellow CFBC woman, I help you to identify and overcome your old money habits–both practical as well as emotional and mental. Your childfree lifestyle is a direct reflection of your money mindset and habits. Any changes you want to make for your future have to start with the way you think about and treat your money today.

I also help you grow your fiscal IQ so you can get started on getting ahead. Work with me and learn everything from the difference between a budget and spending plan to how to get started investing in the stock market, specifically tailored for CFBC women.

I started my own childfree by choice journey back in 1992 at the ripe old age of 10.

I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up but I did know one thing:

I didn’t want to have kids.

So naturally, I proceeded to tell this news to everyone I knew. And the refrain was always the same, “You’ll change your mind.” Or “You’re so young, Tiffany. Just wait.” Or my favorite, “Of course you want kids, you just don’t know it yet.”

I didn’t have a difficult upbringing. Quite the opposite. I grew up in your average middle-class family. I have the coolest younger brother. My parents are still happily married nearly 40 years later.

I also love children. My friends call me the “Baby Whisperer.” But you know what I love more? Sending said children back to their parents after a day with Auntie Tiffy.

I just had an innate belief from a very young age that my life could be complete without children. Instead, I had big dreams of having an amazing career, great friends, and traveling the world.

So I grew up, got my hustle on, and made that s**t happen.

But seven years after that pivotal moment in my childhood, I still didn’t know what the heck I wanted to do with my life.

It was 1999.

My father’s voice crept into my head.

My job is to get you out of my house.
W
hat you choose to do with your life after I’m done raising you is just that…your life.
College is a privilege and not a right.
So if you don’t want to join the military, you’ll figure out a way to go to college.

Now before you go thinking to yourself, “Dang, Tiff. That’s harsh”, I love my Dad. We talk and text every single day. But as the daughter of two U.S. Marines, tough love was my Dad’s parenting language growing up. And I am forever grateful for that man because I wouldn’t be where I am today without him and his money lessons.

So I found a way to go to college.

I convinced my parents to let me live at home instead of the dorms.

Dad agreed but only if I paid 1/4 of the mortgage because I occupied 1/4 of the house. First life lesson in one of the biggest expenses in a budget happened at 17 when I was paying $400 in rent each month. He even had the audacity to charge me a late fee for missing the due date once. Papa Bear did not play.

I went to school at night and on the weekends while holding down a full-time job and a revolving door of side gigs. I had side hustles long before Uber and Instacart existed.

And by the grace of God, a lot of hard work, and a significant lack of sleep, I graduated with a degree from Hawaii Pacific University in Business Administration and Corporate Communications.

With zero credit card debt and just $7k in student loan debt.

And I have been hustling ever since living that bawse life (after I promptly paid off that student loan debt).

Over the course of the next 16 years, I built a successful career in the hospitality and events industry:

  • I became the youngest Vice President in the history of my company.
  • I successfully managed multi-million dollar budgets for clients.
  • I traveled the globe producing events across North America, Europe, Asia and South America.
  • I also increased my salary by 191% over that same time period. And as a Black woman nonetheless. #knowyourworth
  • I became a homeowner YEARS before my husband and I stumbled into each other’s lives and got married.
  • I maxed out my 401k contributions every year.
  • I invested in the stock market via an IRA and taxable investment accounts that I manage without a financial advisor.
  • I’ve also flown first class, stayed in five-star hotels and resorts, and treated my husband and bff to some incredible trips around the world. (psst! I can show you how.)
  • And I pay off my credit cards in full every single month (because I believe using credit isn’t bad; having long-standing credit card DEBT, however, is).

I don't share all of this to brag. I share all of this to inspire you.

You can both enjoy your present and prepare for your future. It’s simply a matter of balance and discipline.

Despite a very successful career, I always felt something was missing.

So I looked back on my life and what sparked joy as a kid (ya know, the whole What Color Is Your Parachute process). And I recalled how much I loved playing teacher with my little brother, running all sorts of science experiments, learning to balance my fake checkbook, reading books, and writing (I was such a strange child).

I realized while I was really talented in my industry, what I enjoyed most in my career was managing complex $15-million+ budgets, researching new ideas, creating project management plans, and solving problems. And as I was helping friends with their budget, sharing my money-savings tips, and leading an investment club with my girlfriends it became clear I was using those skills I loved most in my career to make a difference in the lives of others.

I do this so every childfree by choice woman, regardless of relationship status, can live an enjoyable life today without sacrificing her future.

It may have taken me 20 years but I finally figured out my purpose and my why.

To be fiscally fit, you get to learn the skills, habits, and mindsets I have helped childfree women from all walks of life and backgrounds employ in their lives.

And to do that, you’ll see firsthand that it’s not how much you earn, but rather what you do with what you earn.

Not only will we create a personalized plan to meet your financial goals, we will work to overcome any lingering limiting beliefs so you can live the childfree by choice life of your dreams.

So Back to You and Why Me?

Well, I get it.

I know what it’s like to secretly love your childfree life, but feel guilt, shame, or anger when you’re constantly asked when you’re having kids or why don’t have kids.

I also understand the fear that comes along with feeling like you aren’t financially ready for retirement and wondering who will care for you in your final years.

I am familiar with the frustration of being a major bawse in your 9-to-5 and managing a large budget or project, but feeling clueless and overwhelmed when it comes to saving, spending, and investing in your personal life.

I’ve also seen firsthand the long-term detrimental effects of not looking out for your future self in favor of balling  overspending now. Lord knows I have also made my fair share of errors along my journey to financial freedom.

And I know what it’s like to be bombarded with all of the experts telling you to “start investing early” or “pay yourself first,” when really you just want to scream: “BUT HOW OH-SO-WISE FINANCIAL EXPERT WHO IS ALREADY RICH?!”

So trust me, I know. But I want you to know a few other things too:

  1. You are not on this journey alone.
  2. There is a way forward no matter how challenging your finances are.
  3.  Regardless of your financial literacy growing up, you CAN learn this.
  4. The best time to start is RIGHT NOW.

I'd love to be your money mindset and fiscal fitness coach.

Are you ready?
